Summer flew past and now it's nearly Autumn
Changes
Hello!
It’s been a long time since I have written anything here, Summer just seems to have flown past and here we are on the brink of Autumn. The leaves are already starting to mellow and turn and a few are floating down to the ground already.
So what have I been up to?
In the summer I was lucky enough to travel to the USA and visit the canyons of Utah, Arizona and Colorado. One of the places we visited was the ancestral Pueblo cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde national park. I found it an intensely evocative place and felt the presence of the ancient peoples who had lived there, before inexplicably moving south around mid 13th century. I tried to capure something of that essence in a set of images loosely titled Ancestral Ghosts.
Throughout Spring and Summer I have become a bit obsessed with waterlilies. It didn’t start out as a project, but seems to have become one by default! There is something so magical about the way the rise up from the murky depths of ponds and lakes. I love the haphazard way their leaves form beautiful patterns , especially after the rain when water droplets sit on top of them. And then of course there are the flowers….
So a set of images has emerged which you can see here, but I have put a couple below also.
I will be showing many of these waterlily images at the upcoming exhibition “Looking Beyond” in Seaford. Scroll down for more info.
Looking forward, I have a couple of events in the calender, one of which is very soon!
Looking Beyond Exhibition
Gallery Uno, Seaford
28th September to 6th October
I am really looking forward to putting on this exhibition with friends and fellow artists, Susi Petherick and Alison Buchanan.
Gallery Uno is a lovely gallery in the heart of Seaford, East Sussex.
I will be showing some waterlilies along side other work and will be in the gallery most of the time.
If in the area do pop along and say hello!

An opportunity to see some truly unique and inspirational photography in one of London’s most atmospheric galleries.
I am very proud to be taking part in this once more. I am sharing a room with other abstract photographers, so please do drop by if you are in London. The Bargehouse is along the South Bank behind the OXO tower, so lots to see and do in the area.
