Christmas is nearly here!
Christmas is nearly here
Hello! In my last newsletter I was talking about Autumn being just around the corner and here we are in Winter and getting ready for Christmas.
Its been a busy few months for me with two exhibitions and a new project I am still working on. Check out my blog posts about these exhibitions.
I have also finally got around to putting some of my books and zines on the web site. Having set up a web shop, I will probably be adding more things to it in the future.
Bookshop now open
I really enjoy creating books as a way of bringing my images and poetry together.
I have now set up a bookshop on my website to give the opportunity to buy them if you wish.
In between all of this I managed to find time to visit some inspiring exhibitions:
Are you Next to an Angel? Yield Gallery, London
This inspring and moving exhibition is raising money for the Marylebone Project which provides sanctuary and support for homeless and abused women in London. The images were created by Honey J Walker and ALL the proceeds from sales go to the project. The exhibition closes very soon, but prints will still be availabe for sale via Honey’s website.
This exhibition is a must for anyone interested in photography – a ecelectic collection spanning many genres and including some amazing work. Closes on 5th January so don’t waste any time!
Deborah Turbeville at the Photographers gallery
‘Fashion photographer’ doesn’t adequately describe the art that Deborah Turbeville created. A really interesting approach to both photography and photo collage. On until 23rd February 2025
Emma Stibbon, Melting Ice – Rising Tides at Towner Gallery Eastbourne
Sadly this exhibition has now finished, but it would be well worth checking out Emma’s work. Not photography, but inspiring on very many levels.
I will be showing many of these waterlily images at the upcoming exhibition “Looking Beyond” in Seaford. Scroll down for more info.
Looking Ahead
I am enjoying having some time at home and looking forward to a break over Christmas.
There will be more news about forthcoming events, exhibitions etc in the New Year, but there is one event which may be of interest to book now:
Arena Seminar
I am very proud to be a member of the Arena Photographers group. Every year we host a residential seminar in Bournemouth with a host of interesting speakers.
It is a special event with a chance to mingle with other like minded people face to face (quite rare these days!).
As an Arena member I will be one of the speakers this year.
Booking is now open for this special event.
So all that remains is to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year.
